We are in a progressive age, where kids are growing up with the computers, and as the computer has many ways to stimulate kids, as the graphics and sounds generate the kid’s interest, it can be used to teach them and not just let them have fun while playing games.

There are many online games, and there are regular games that can teach us about life, or educational information, like learn mathematics, languages, history while playing games. There are games for kids, that include mathematical questions, as the kid play the computer game asks him how many birds are on the trees, or how many people can cross the river on a boat that has only 3 places, etc… That is just a small example of how we can use games to educate our kids.

There are games like SIMS, that simulate life, and enable us to experience regular life or extreme life situations using a game simulation of life. The “SIMS” series has different versions of life simulations, which include, relationship simulations like placing a man with two ladies as roommates, and see what will happen if a relationship starts with one of the ladies, while you conduct a regular day, of doing house chores and maintenance, going to work, and trying to maintain a relationship and of course a budget. We can try different aspects of the game while simulating what would have happened if we have done it in real life :-).

The kids can get their education from computer games from kids’ games, like finding treasures, finding hidden clues, board games, card games, English learning games for kids and many other games that can teach our kids about almost anything and of course let them learn while having fun.

So, as we can see there are many games that can educate us, while we play, and have fun. This can motivate our children to learn more. As we know not all of the kids want to sit down and learn, some professions do not interest them and what do they love to do? They love to play games, so we can use that to our advantage as they use computer games to learn and have fun :-).
